TEF at 2xIC50 significantly increased the number of β-gal-positive cells. At this concentration, an increase in larger regular nuclei was also observed; the cells turned out to be flat, increased their volume, and displayed a vacuole-rich cytoplasm, which are characteristics of senescence. |
