Target gene description: | As shown in the results from the real-time PCR, 17b-E 2 increases the expres- sion levels of SIRT3 mRNA in a dose-dependent manner in HUVEC cells.Immunot blot analysis shows that the protein expression levels of SIRT3 are elevated, when HUVEC cells are exposed to different concentrations of 17b-E 2. We con- structed a Luciferase-based reporter system to mea- sure the transcriptional activity of SIRT3. As expected, 17b-E 2 increases SIRT3 promoter activity and exhibits the maximum effect at the concentration of 0.1 μM. |
