Description: | However, although the memory T-cell subset did not show more activation, significantly higher levels of senescence and proliferation were observed in vertically HIV-infected patients than in the healthy subjects. Furthermore, the effector memory CD4 T cells of vertically HIV-infected subjects displayed higher senescence, activation and proliferation levels than healthy subjects. Regarding the TemRA CD4 T-cell subset, vertically HIV-infected subjects showed higher senescence and activation levels than healthy subjects, but similar levels of proliferation were observed. |
