Description: | SA-β-gal activity assay:we initially assayed senescence-associated (SA) β-galactosidase (β-gal) activity, after irradiating fibroblasts with 350 J/m2 of UVB. 40% of the cells displayed SA β-gal positivity 48 hours after exposure to UVB at 350 J/ m2. Flow cytometry//hematocytometer : Flow cytometric analysis also showed that the percentage of cells in the G0/G1 phase was significantly increased 48 hours after exposure to UVB. An investigation of cell growth after exposure to UVB revealed a time-dependent decrease. |
