Description: | However treatment with 2.0*PIP induced a mild but significant G1 arrest (p<0.001) and reduced the number of cells in S phase (p<0.01) in telomerase positive A549 cells.As early as 7 days after ligand treat-ment, a concentration-dependent increase in senescent cells staining positive for β-galactosidase in telomerase positive A549 and Huh7 cancer cells was observed, as compared to the DMSO treated control cells. Treatment of normal primary MRC5 cells also led to an increase in cells staining positive for β-galactosidase and to an increase in the number of cells with a broad,flattened morphology. |
