Description: | Metformin decreased clonogenic survival following radiation and increased radiation-induced SA-β-gal activity in HN 31 cells (C176F, disruptive TP53), but had little effect in HN 30 cells (wild type TP53). Furthermore, after inhibition of wild type p53 expression, metformin was found to potentiate SA-β-gal activity and decrease clonogenic survival. |
