Aging Overview

External factors

External factors: Busulfan
Aging type: Accelerate
Aging characteristic:
Category: Chemical compounds
Phenotype: Osteosarcoma
Experimental category: L
Tissue type: --
Cell name: U2OS,MG-63
PMID: 24815002
Experiment: SA-β-gal activity assay
Description: Our data showed that busulfan treatment significantly increased the number of β-galactosidase-positive cells, suggesting that busulfan may induce the senescence of osteosarcoma cells.

Target gene experiment: qRT-PCR
Target gene description: We found that the five members in the miRNA-200 family were all upregulated after busulfan treatment in both cell lines. We found that expression of both ZEB1 and ZEB2 was significantly decreased by busulfan treatment in both cell lines .All five members of the miR-200 family (miR-200a, miR-200b, miR-200c, miR-141, and miR-429) can inhibit epithelial–mesenchymal transition through activating E-cadherin transcription repressors ZEB1 and ZEB2.
