Description: | The results reveal a substantial increase in SA-β-gal positive senescent cells in irradiated lung cancer cells.Similar results were also observed in A549 cells. Moreover, high levels of p16 expression, another important biomarker of senescence [25], were detected in irradiated H460 cells. In addition, BrdU incorporation assays show that the senescent lung cancer cells are unable to synthesize DNA and incorporate BrdU. |
