Aging Overview

External factors

External factors: 2,2'-Azobis(2-amidinopropane)dihydrochloride(AAPH)
Aging type: Accelerate
Aging characteristic:
Category: Chemical compounds
Phenotype: Aging
Experimental category: L
Tissue type: --
Cell name: A375,NIH-3T3
PMID: 30555576
Experiment: SA-β-gal activity assay//SAHF//Western blot
Description: The results show that AAPH dramatically increased the SA β-Gal activity in A375 and NIH3T3 cells, which was significantly suppressed by NAC.AAPH caused robust SAHF formation in A375 cells, which was significantly reduced by NAC.AAPH significantly increased the protein level of p21 and elevated p53 phosphorylation in A375 cells, indicating activation of this pathway.

Regulatory relationship

Regulatory pathway: p53-p21
R-EF-Pathway: Activation
Official symbol(s): TP53-CDKN1A
Pathway experiment: Western blot
Pathway description: AAPH significantly increased the protein level of p21 and elevated p53 phosphorylation in A375 cells, indicating activation of this pathway.
