Pathway description: | EGCG treatment significantly (p<0.05) downregulated expression of both PI3K and Akt as well as p-mTOR(albeit at 100 lM only) suggesting its role in modulation of stress-induced mTOR signaling pathway. A suppression in the gene expression of translation initiation factors (4E-BP1 and eIF4E) downstream of mTOR pathway was also observed that further indicated the inactivation of mTOR pathway in the presence of EGCG. |
