Aging Overview

External factors

External factors: Glucagon‐like peptide 1
Aging type: Prevent
Aging characteristic:
Category: Chemical compounds
Phenotype: Aging
Experimental category: L
Tissue type: --
Cell name: EA.hy926
PMID: 28127745
Experiment: SA-β-gal activity assay
Description: Pre‐incubation with GLP‐1 significantly reduced 5FU‐elicited senescence of EA.hy926 cells. This effect occurred through GLP‐1 receptor, as it was attenuated by the GLP‐1 receptor antagonist, E9. GLP‐1 prevented endothelial cells senescence initiated by sera from patients taking capecitabine.

Regulatory relationship

Target gene: PKA//ERK1/2//PI3K//NOS
R-EF-Target gene: Downregulation//Downregulation//Downregulation//Downregulation
Official symbol(s): PRKACA//ERK1/2//PIK3CD//NOS1
Target gene experiment: Western blot//Densitometry analysis
Target gene description: GLP‐1 prevented endothelial cells senescence initiated by sera from patients taking capecitabine, with this effect being eliminated by antagonism of GLP‐1 receptors or inhibition of PKA, ERK1/2, PI3K and NOS.
