Pathway description: | The strong signal for phosphorylated EGFR (pEGFR Tyr1173) observed in early passage cells at 5 min of EGF stimulation indicated the quick and transient response . Late passage (P25) fibroblasts exhibited an attenuated acute response to EGF treatment as evidenced by the slightly decreased levels of Tyr1173 phosphorylated EGFR at 5 min.Downstream of the EGFR, ERK activity was sustained in late passage as compared to early passage cells, whereas AKT activity was massively down-regulated in late passage cells . Moreover, the expression level of p16INK4A, a typical senescence-associated protein, was generally elevated in late passage cells as compared to young fibroblasts. |
