Description: Elimination of RKIP could increase ERK activation and suppress the cellular senescence. Conversely, RKIP overexpression inhibited ERK activation and induced the cellular senescence (monitored by SA-β-Gal and DcR2 expression) in two kinds of p53-deficient cell lines.As we expected, overexpression of RKIP could suppress the cell proliferation, whereas RKIP knockdown could promote the cell proliferation.
