| Target gene description: | Similar to BJ and WS1 fibroblasts, ectopic expression of NICD3 in LF1 cells induced senescence and p21 expression.However, the ability of Notch3 to induce senescence was significantly attenuated in p21- /- cells, as indicated by increased cell proliferation and decreased SA-β-gal staining compared with the parental LF1 cells. These results suggest that Notch3-induced senescence is partially mediated by p21. |
