Pathway description: | Furthermore, measurement of p53 activity in the presence of an increasing amount of Top1 with a constant amount of a p53 activity reporter revealed dose-dependent activation of p53 by Top1. To further confirm the involvement of the p53 pathway, we examined the effect of p53 inhibition by a dominant negative form of p53 (p53DN) over the proliferation arrest induced by GFPTop1. Interestingly, p53 pathway inhibition reverted efficiently the proliferation arrest induced by GFPTop1. |
