| Pathway description: | In shPLA2R-infected HDFs, p53, and its targets p21 and human double minute 2 (HDM2), decreased when compared with control cells. Phospho-Rb increased, suggesting that the cells were proliferating. Conversely, when PLA2R was ectopically expressed, the levels of p53, p21 and HDM2 increased when compared with control senescing cells and phospho-Rb was found to decrease. |
