Description: | We found that inhibition of CBX8 expression dramatically reduced the S-phase fraction of cells and led to a complete growth arrest.Overexpression of CBX8 bypassed senescence, and the growth rate of the CBX8 expressing cells did not change within the time frame of the experiment.We found that Cbx8 downregulation led to a significant reduction in the number of colonies in all the genetic backgrounds tested. |
