| Description: | HEK293-TET-SSX2 cells exhibited very high background levels of SA-β-gal activity, and no difference was observed upon induction of SSX2 expression.Immunocytochemical analysis of MCF7-TET-SSX2 cells 7 days after induction of SSX2 expression further substantiated their senescent phenotype, as they exhibited a clear reduction in expression of the proliferation marker Ki67 and presence of g-H2AX DSB foci. Long-term growth (more than 7 days) of MCF7-TET-SSX2 cells with SSX2 expression induced a dramatic change in the morphology of the cells, which adapted an irregular and enlarged shape. |
