| Description: | Western blot analysis showed that IL-1β-induced chondrocytes expressed a large amount of β-gal, p53, and p21, while Prx II could attenuate the effect of IL-1β and decrease the expression of β-gal, p53, and p21. RT-PCR results showed that Prx II increased the expression of anti-aging molecule BMI-1 and decreased the expression of p53 and p21. Cellular immunofluorescence also showed that Prx II reduced the expression of β-gal induced by IL-1β. |
