Description: | Interestingly, analysis of the genes upregulated by SOX5/6/21 instead resulted in a significant enrichment of GO-terms associated with general tumor suppressor responses, including Apoptotic process , Cellular response to stress Direct p53 effector and Senescence and Autophagy.Furthermore, forced expression of SOX5/6/21 significantly increased the number of cells that entered senescence in the three human primary GBM cell lines (KS4, G3 and #87), as measured by senescence associated gal-activity (SA-βgal) and the cleavage of X-gal. |
