Description: Indeed, after exposure to IL-4 for 3–7 days, the cells underwent a profound morphological change characteristic of cellular senescence such as flattening and enlargement . Flow cytometric analysis showed that Caki-1 cells exposed to IL-4 for 7 days increased in size and granularity.Up-regulation of SA-β-gal activity increased protein expression of p21WAF1/CIP1 and p16INK4A and formation of senescenceassociated heterochromatin foci were also shown.
