Pathway description: Interestingly, E2F7 has a p53-binding site in its promoter, and indeed, analysis of chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP)/next-generation sequencing (ChIP-seq) data from IMR90 cells under different growth conditions revealed a marked and specific binding of p53 to this site in senescence but not in growing conditions .p53 binds to the E2F7 promoter specifically during cellular senescence.
