Target gene description: To investigate the effects of TGF-β1 on Myc/Max/Mad network protein expression, the respective proteins were immunoprecipitated from 35S-labeled U-937-myc-6 cell extracts . The synthesis of Mad1 increased substantially;meanwhile, the synthesis of c-Myc decreased after TGF-β1 treatment. A slight decrease in v-Myc synthesis was also observed while no major change in the expression of Max occurred.
