Aging Overview

Aging gene

Gene name: WT1
Aging type: Prevent
Aging characteristic:
Tissue type: --
Cell name: NCI-H522,NCI-H1437,NCI-H1568,NCI-H1650,NCI-H1975,NCI-H2126,NCI-H23,NCI-H358,NCI-H441,NCI-H460,NCI-H727,NCI-H1299,NCI-H2009,NCI-A549
Gene ID: 7490
Category: protein coding
Phenotype: Aging
Experimental category: HL
PMID: 20972333
Experiment: MTT assay//SA-β-gal activity assay
Description: A significant decrease in the cell viability of cell lines harboring KRAS mutations was observed in response to WT1 loss.Mutant KRAS NSCLC cell lines adopted a senescence-like appearance in response to WT1 knockdown, and this was confirmed by staining with SA-βgal.

Regulatory relationship

Regulatory pathway: KRAS
R-AG-Pathway: --
Official symbol(s): KRAS
Pathway experiment: SA-β-gal activity assay//Tumor formation assay
Pathway description: KrasG12D/+;Wt1Δ/Δ MEFs demonstrated a flattened morphology and stained positive for senescence-associated β-gal (SA-βgal). Wt1 suppression significantly decreased the size of tumors when compared with controls and to a level similar to that caused by suppression of Kras.
