Target gene description: | Inactivation of DGCR8 in human and murine fibroblasts caused a modest, but reproducible increase in the protein levels of the cell‐cycle inhibitor p21CIP1. Also, a 3‐fold increase in p21CIP1 transcript and increased number of p21CIP1‐positive cells by immunofluorescence was observed in shDGCR8 human fibroblasts. |
