Target gene description: Compared with the control vector, ZEB1 over-expression caused a significant increase in luciferase activity in the cells that were cotransfected with the WT and Mut2-4 reporter vectors. Conversely, cotransfection of ZEB1-expressing vector with the Mut1 reporter vector gave a level of luciferase activity that was equivalent to the control.ZEB1 up-regulation partially reversed the UVA-induced increase in SA-β-gal positive cells and upregulation of p53, p21, and p16 expression, while ZEB1 down-regulation caused the opposite effects to be observed.
