Description: | The histochemical assay for SA-β-Gal activity showed that SA-β-Gal activity was strongly produced in U87-KD1 and U87-KD2 cells with a flat, enlarged cell shape . The extensive SA-β-Gal activity was also detected in U251-KD1 and U251-KD2 cells compared to that of U251-Mock cells. We noted that the activity of SA-β-Gal was weak in either U87- or U251-Mock cells.The percentage of U87-KD1 and U87-KD2 cells at the G0/G1 phase was increased when compared to that observed in U87-Mock cells. In addition, the reduction of Bcl11b expression caused an increase in the arrest of U251 cells at the G0/G1 (KD1) or S (KD2) phase, along with a reduction in the amount of cells at the G2/M phase. |
