Target gene description: The result showed that overexpression of FOXM1 caused an induction of NBS1 levels and ATM phosphorylation in MCF-7 cells ,further confirming that FOXM1 regulates NBS1 expression and thus MRN complex formation to promote ATM activation and phosphorylation.We observed the (WT) NBS1 promoter activity was augmented by FOXM1 in a dose-dependent manner, whereas the mut NBS1 promoter had lower basal promoter activity and was not inducible by FOXM1.
